Bio
Elizabeth R Gahan is a Seattle-based artist. She grew up in San Diego, CA and has lived in Seattle since 2008. She earned BAs in Global Studies and Fine Art from the University of California, Santa Barbara and an MFA from Claremont Graduate University, CA. Gahan’s work space is at Equinox Studios in Georgetown. Her art practice combines 2D studio art and 3D installation art/sculpture. Gahan believes that our visual landscape significantly shapes our lives and communities, so it is important that these spaces are dynamic, invigorating and meaningful.
Gahan has received public art grants, commissions and has artwork in numerous collections including City of Seattle, City of Tukwila, City of Newcastle, King County, Washington State Arts Commission, Boston Children's Hospital MA, PricewaterhouseCoopers Washington DC, City of Claremont CA and she was honored by the Americans for the Arts Public Art Review 2014.
