"Phosphorescent Canopy"
corrugated plastic, vinyl, spray paint & LED
20''h x 60'w x 60'd
Synthetic materials with striking graphic patterns form giant flower buds hanging from the trees overhead. The vibrant colors and bold designs are readily visible during the day. Then, the light from the setting sun causes the materials to glow more intensely. Finally at night, a web of twinkle lights dance above each bud, while an internal light transitions through an assortment of pulsing colors creating a magical festival experience.
This project was made possible by the City of Burien.
