"Kingfisher Landing"

The installation's form and color scheme respond to the existing architecture. Crystalline forms follow the lines of the the I-beam architectural details. The title references both the physical location of the artwork at the stairway landing of Fisher Pavilion, which also offers a vast bird's eye view of the International Fountain, as well as the form of the installation which seems to stretch outward like a bird coming in for a landing.  Internal lighting enhances the 3D installation features at night, while the dark 2D spaces seem to recede giving the piece a sense of transformation from the daytime appearance.
