"The Canopy"

Mountlake Terrace Elementary School, Edmonds, WA

Featuring colorful patterns and a strong sense of geometry, these flower-like forms reference both nature and the building in which they are housed. These plant-like growths populate the space attaching to the ceiling, much like how orchids and pitcher plants grow on forest canopies. This artwork was inspired by thinking of the school as an environment for growth, creativity and imagination.
